SHARING OPPORTUNITY WITH STUDENTS
Once you submit the filled JAF and/or IAF, Information of JAF and/or IAF is made available to students along with any other information furnished by the organization ( We encourage you to share Company Presentation, Youtube Videos, Reports, Company Profile etc).
GETTING CVs OF STUDENTS
Students register their interest on internal registration portal and CDS will submit resumes and other required details of interested candidates to the Organizations generally within 3 days.
SCHEDULING INTERVIEW PROCESS
Organization can discuss and finalize mutually convenient date(s) with CDS team for the Campus recruitment process.
FEEDBACK AND RESULT
Organizations schedule the campus recruitment process on allotted date(s) and furnish the final list of selected candidates preferably on the same day after completion of interview process along with the feedback.

When does the recruitment program start?
Placement Season will start from first week of October. We encourage recruiters to conduct interview process for full time and summer internship; simultaneously during their visit. Certain pre-placement process (e.g. online tests, PPT) may be conducted before scheduled interview process date.

What are the different ways in which a company can hire students from the campus?
- By conducting campus placement drive for the final year students – Full Time hiring
- By recruiting third year students as Summer intern & extending Pre Placement Offer to them
- By recruiting students as an intern for more than three months ( six to twelve months ) & extending Pre Placement Offer to them

Admission Process
BTech
IIT Gandhinagar offers 4-year B.Tech. programme in six Engineering disciplines (Chemical, Civil, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical and Materials Science & Engineering). The total number of seats available in all the six disciplines is 180 (30 seats each discipline). The admission to the course is through the IIT Joint Entrance Examination (JEE).
PhD
Admission is generally offered on the basis of an interview, which is supplemented by a written test if necessary. The Institute will invite a limited number of candidates for a written test and interview based on the academic records, statement of purpose, etc. The final selection will be mainly based on academic credentials, written test and/or interview.
MASC
Admission to MA Program is offered on the basis of entrance test and interview. The Institute will invite a limited number of candidates for a written test and interview based on the academic records and aptitude for graduate study in the humanities and social sciences. The final selection will be based on all of above, viz., academic records, aptitude for graduate studies, written test and interview
MSc
IIT Gandhinagar currently offers 4-year B. Tech. programmes in Chemical, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering and M. Tech. programmes in Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering and in Materials Science and Engineering. In addition, the Institute offers the students the option to do a Minor in Computer Science or Management along with their B. Tech. degrees. It also offers Ph.D. progammes in several disciplines in Engineering (Chemical, Civil, Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical, and in Materials Science and Engineering), Sciences (Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics) and Humanities & Social Sciences (Cognitive Science, English, Philosophy, Sociology and others).

The Institute reserves the right to use its own judgment while determining the candidate’s level of competency based on the available information. The final selection will be based on all of above, viz., academic records, GATE score, written test and interview. The Institute may also exercise the option of offering admission to a few outstanding candidates based on academic record and/or GATE, without calling them for written test and interview.
