Offer Limit: Students can secure a maximum of one job or internship offer through the Career Development Services (CDS). They may apply to multiple companies until they receive an offer.
Simultaneous Offers: Spot offers are not permitted. All offers made on a particular day will be announced together. If a student is selected by more than one company on the same day, they must choose one offer within 24 hours and inform the CDS office of their decision.
Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs): PPOs accepted through CDS count as a job offer, and all CDS rules apply. If a PPO is rejected, the student remains eligible for CDS placement services according to the policy. PPO status should be communicated within two weeks post-internship and preferably by 15th September for internships lasting two months.
Offer Acceptance and Rejection: Once a student receives a job or internship offer, they are considered placed, regardless of whether they accept or reject the offer. Students wishing to reject an on-campus placement offer must inform CDS within 15 days of receiving the offer or by 15th April, whichever is earlier.
Concurrent Hiring Processes: If a student participates in hiring processes for two companies simultaneously (e.g., Company A and Company B), and the results of Company A are delayed while the student receives an offer from Company B, the offer from Company B will be considered the first offer, and vice versa.
Application Interest: IITGN encourages students to apply only if genuinely interested in the job or internship opportunity. They will be considered for the opportunity whose selection result is announced first among all applied opportunities.
Automatic Restriction Post-Offer: Receiving one offer will automatically restrict students from applying to further opportunities.
PPO Status Post-Internship: After successful completion of an internship, it is highly desirable that the status of PPOs be informed from a company within two weeks and preferably not later than 15th September for internships lasting two months to the CDS office.
